"My partner Dan and I had an absolutely incredible experience both times we have dined at Chez Lafayette!! We spent this Valentine’s Day here. We were able to make a same day reservation but the restaurant was full while we were there. The food is authentic Cajun/creole with a “fancy casual” Louisiana French quarter aesthetic. The portions are massive and the prices are extremely reasonable especially considering the quality. We already made our next reservation for March 4 when they will have live music. Every person on staff treated us incredibly. They were kind and funny and were on top of every single detail. We had the wonderful opportunity to sit with the owner and chat over a glass of white wine and a plate of their fresh beignets. We have been truly pressed by every detail and hope to make this a regular spot. It is well worth our 1+ hour drive every. single. time!!"
"Wow, I LOVED this place! The service was prompt and friendly from the second I entered. The ambience is straight out of NOLA. I ordered a dolcetto wine, the pork rib chop & rum bread pudding and I have to say—I’ve lived in WA for 4 years and visited many restaurants from Mount Vernon to Seattle to Tacoma and this—was by far—the best meal I’ve had in 5 years. The pork rib chop was so tender and well seasoned. The apricot sauce was such an amazing pairing with the pork rib chop, grits & veggies—a combo I would’ve never thought up nor experienced before. It’s been days since I visited and I’m still thinking about it. Ironically—the meal and the flavors were better than the meals/flavors I tasted when I visited NOLA years ago lol Amazing job to the chef(s)!! Very impressed!"
"Everything about this place was incredible. The service, the ambiance, and THE FOOD! I'm an east coast bred kid with a lot of roots in the south and NOLA specifically. We tried a few of the drinks, all amazing and very well balanced with the sweetness. The soft shell crab special tasted like something my family would make back home. Th gumbo was packed with flavor with the perfect amount of spice and consistency. The shrimp arancini balls were soo perfectly cooked and moist as ever, very well balanced with the shrimp. The shrimp salad tasted like they just plucked it from the garden, so fresh! Wrapped it up with an incredible black coffee and beignets that made me feel like I was sitting on the riverside patio at Cafe Du Monde, flaky and very light."
